Rachel Weisz's career encompasses theatre, television and film. On stage she appeared to critical acclaim in Sean Mathias's 'Design for Living', at the Donmar Warehouse for which she won the Critics Circle Award for Best Newcomer in 1994. Her television appearances include the series 'Scarlet and Black' alongside Ewan McGregor, and the television movies 'Dirty Something' alongside Rufus Sewell, 'White Goods' alongside Lenny Henry and 'My Summer with Des' with Neil Morrissey.
On film she starred opposite Keanu Reeves and Morgan Freeman in 'Chain Reaction'. In 1996 she also appeared in 'Stealing Beauty', alongside Liv Tyler. She starred in Beeban Kidron's 'Swept from the Sea', David Leland's 'The Land Girls', alongside Anna Friel and Catherine McCormack and Michael Winterbottom's thriller 'I Want You'. She recently co-starred with Brendan Fraser in 'The Mummy' and in Itsvan Szabo's 'Sunshine' alongside Ralph Fiennes.
She recently starred in Sean Mathias's stage production of 'Suddenly Last Summer' in the West End.
