"Kid's have a great sense for the truth, when something's wrong they don't know what it is but they know something's not quite right. I think they know when you tell a white lie, they give you a look. It may only be a little porky, but where do you cross the line to a bigger lie." Ray Winstone

"Tom Watson is a born pro, he's interested in the camera, he's telling the crew what lighting stock to have. He's incredibly enthusiastic and such a good actor. He's a real character. I'd work with him any day. Bill Hoyland is one of my favourite actors and he came up with the stream of consciousness you hear in the film. He's decided to die' but he's already talking to the angels." Bob Hoskins

"Being a tiny budget people had to pay to get onto this, we had a whip round to pay for the camera." Bob Hoskins
